| NOTE | This is the only access and camping on the Alabama River between Gees Bend and Millers Ferry Campground. The distance from Jones Landing to Millers Ferry is about eight miles. The landing is accessible (with permission) from Jones Farm Road from Alabama between Millers Ferry and Camden. The actual campsite is a beautiful wooded point overlooking Alligator Slough which opens onto the Alabama River at mile 143. Jones Landing is approximately one-half mile in on the south (left) bank of the slough. |
